Selena Gomez may get a visit from fellow tween star on “Wizards of Waverly Place“. Justin Bieber said in an interview with Pop Star that a cameo in the Disney Channel series “might happen”. He, however, quickly added that nothing is on the card and that he did not know “what’s going on there”.
The rumors that the singing sensation would appear on the show sparked after he rang the New Year’s Eve with Selena on TV special “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve”. Selena got up on the stage when Justin was performing “One Less Lonely Girl” and they shared a couple of hugs. Justin also confirmed that he is a good friend of Selena and BFF Demi Lovato.
Should Justin indeed go to “Waverly Place“, this would not be his first foray into the TV world. He had once appeared as himself on Nickelodeon’s “True Jackson, VP“. Keke Palmer’s True was asking a favor from Justin after her charity event’s performer backed out.

In the upcoming episode “Scott Family,” Celebrity volunteers Usher and Selena Gomez guest in the episode to give Trina Scott, from Clarksville, Tenn., and her three daughters the good news that their problem-ridden home would be rebuilt in just seven days.
While Usher lends a hand to Paige and John, working side by side to help make the new Scott family house a home; and the family gets to visit Selena on the set of Wizards.
“The Scott Family” episode will air on Sunday, December 6 @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Justin signs up for Monster Hunting to complete his wizard training; Max performs a spell that separates his conscience from himself.
I love when shows have some story line progression to them, and this week on Wizards of Waverly Place we get Justin finishing up his basic wizard training. He is now allowed to pick an independant study course, and he picks “Monster Hunting.” Justin’s father Jerry is really excited and wants to get in on the act, but after not being able to discern what the objects are that come in the Monster Hunting kit, Justin decides to go it by himself. Alex and Max are concerned that Justin is getting so far ahead of them that they need to do something to even the playing field. Alex reaches out to Harper, who knows everything Justin does. Harper shows Alex that by setting every spell to music like Justin does, she can learn a bit easier. Max, though, is going to take the easy way out with magic. First he pulls his conscience out of himself (Moises Arias from Hannah Montana plays the part), and then, against Conscience’s judgement, he releases a spell on the city that puts the most wanted monsters in New York. Max figures that if Justin fails at Monster Hunting it will be better for him and Alex. Kind of a reversal of roles, as we would have thought Alex would do something like that, and I thought just a bit out of character for Max.
This was actually one of the funniest episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place that I have seen in a long time, as well. The quips between Justin and Alex at the beginning were great. The back and forth between Justin and his father about what monster to try and catch first had the best line of the week, which I can summarize as something about a monster that squeezes the farts out of you. Max and Conscience provide some normal Max-not-paying-attention type humor, which works even better with the new character of Conscience playing the other character trying to talk Max straight. Fred Willard also guest stars as Stuffleby from the magic world, who comes to congratulate Justin on finishing his basic wizard training and to make some comments about comparing Alex and Max to a chair in the wizard lair, which was funny. Especially when Max then pulls change out of the chair.
Overall I thought “Monster Hunters” had a lot going for it, the progression of the story, the humor and some guest stars all rolled up into a nice package. Alex trying her hand at being Justin was a nice touch, especially by having her rescue him for a change.
Disney Channel is having confidence in “Wizards of Waverly Place” that it extends the contract of third season for eight more episodes. The series starring Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin, thus, goes from 78 episodes to a total of 86 episodes.

“Wizards of Waverly Place” which will kick off the third season on October 9, tells the story of three siblings who are in the process of being true wizards. The series has spawned a TV movie called “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie” which ranked as cable TV’s No. 2 scripted telecast of all time with its 13.5 million viewers during the premiere in August.
It has been announced that “Wizards of Waverly Place” will be back for a third season on October 9. The premiere episode is called “Franken-girl” where Justin got so fed-up by Alex constantly going through his stuff that he creates a female monster to guard his room and to think like Alex.
The October slate will also coincide the month of Halloween. On the October 30 episode, Justin begins his Monster Hunting course and gets more than he bargains for when Juliet and her vampire family turn out to be the three monsters he’s searching for.
Disney has given a preview of the third season recently, revealing that Harper is moving in with the Russos, Alex pursuing her dream of becoming artist, Justin trying his hand at monster hunting and Max becoming a serious contender of becoming the sole heir of the family’s wizard power.
To celebrate the arrival of season 3 Disney Channel has arranged a “Wiz-tober” event which will be kicked off with a special encore presentation of “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie” on October 1. In the next few days, the channel will also air Halloween-themed original movies, including “Halloweentown”, two installments of “Harry Potter” movies and both “Twitches” movies.
Not only sprinkling the Halloween fiesta on “Wizard”, Disney will also spread the same ingredients to “J.O.N.A.S!” and “The Suite Life on Deck” in October.

It becomes the second highest Disney original movie premieres on the network’s history after “High School Musical 2″. It is also cable’s most-watched telecast of the year and basic cable’s top 4 most-watched scripted telecast since 2007.
“Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie” is premiering on Disney Channel this Friday, August 28 and before it hits the screen, the mouse house is giving out three sneak peeks. Containing scenes clipped from the beginning, the middle and toward the end of the movie, the footage give pivotal moments that serve as the main conflict.
In the first clip, Alex is not getting a permission to attend a party from her parents. Rebellious as a teenager, the wizard accumulates a way that allows her not leaving the house but attending the party anyway. In the second clip, Alex’s mother forbids her to date, party or use magic. A pissed-off Alex then casts an accidental spell on her mother, wishing that she had never even met her dad. The third and the last clip shows the attempt by Jerry Russo and his kids to reverse the spell using Stone of Dreams.
David Henrie who plays the oldest Russo kids in the movie, announced through his Twitter that there will be a special screening involving 100 fans this Friday. “I’m gonna announce a location, day of movie premiere. So b ready. First hundred 2 get there get to hang with me and watch the movie. And we r working on getting a couple charities involved to see of we can raise some money. Excited to hang with y’all!”
Also in attendance will be Selena Gomez who portrays Alex Russo and producer Peter Murietta who will be ready to answer some questions.
